Larry Page

File:Larry Page in the European Parliament, 17.06.2009.jpg
In March 1973, Lawrence “Larry” Page was born, to someday help create something that would greatly change the way information is found. He attended Okemos Montessori School in his elementary years before graduating from East Lansing High School in 1991. He went the University of Michigan and got a Bachelor of Science in computer engineering and a Master of Science in computer science from Stanford University. He was apparently quite bright, and supposedly once he built a printer out of legos.
You may be wondering at this point, what this man was behind. Well, Larry Page was the co-founder and is the current CEO of the mega-corporation google. While he only owns around 8% of the company’s stock, he is still quite wealthy, with an estimated worth coming in at $20.3 billion, ranking him #13 on the Forbes 400 list of richest Americans.

Google is a titan in so many people’s lives now a days. You see this text? It’s because of google. I’m currently writing this on Google docs on my google drive account with Google Chrome. How did I get to google docs? Via schoolzone. How did I get to schoolzone? Google, duh.

Google is interesting to me because they could just be crappy as Bing and still be popular. But, the real question is: Why? Why has some other search engine not come up to take down google? What really sets it apart? Truth is, I don’t really know.

Well, anywho, Larry Page is apparently still going strong, and still being quite a rich man, so let’s not worry about it too much. He should be fine so long as nothing happens to Google.

Gravity Man

This is a superhero I created in Gliffy. He's called Gravity man, and he's a complete ripoff of gravity guy.

A Map...

Come at me, Kim Jong Un. I chose this to highlight the fact North Korea didn't allow Google to add them into Google maps. Why? I don't know. Probably something to do with being suckish with nuclear weaponry.

This is one of my favorite videos that is school appropriate - the filming, for starters, is great. You get to see such a great variety of angles. The presentation is remarkable - The character really comes to life. The acting is great, and of course, the blend of the voice actor and the on-screen actor is flawless. Over all, the best thing ever. Of course I'm joking, but it's a fun thing to put on repeat for laughs.

First post!

Why hello there! My name is Eli, but you can call me Eli. No, that wasn't a typo. Just call me Eli. I need to get that point across. Any who, isn't this quite the blog? Hey, that was punny! Okay, corny jokes aside, I'm excited to be in Media class writing this. Why? Well, basically, I like computers, and this whole class is right up my alley, and so I think it'll be a lot of fun. Speaking of fun, I just noticed that my old profile name is still intact, "Sasuke of the funk." That whole name is just a big inside joke and it makes me happy to see it again, though I'll probably change it later on. Well, I'll save anything else interesting for another post. Ta-ta for now!
